Blanton’s Black Label 750ml

Created for exceptional smoothness and a clean finish, this bourbon is made with a sour mash of corn, rye and malted barley before maturing in American White Oak casks. The nose is powerful and dry with honey, rye, dried fruits, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is full and rich with sharp apricot notes alongside butter, pepper, honey and oak. The finish is long with toffee apples developing to pecan and caramel.

Created for connoisseurs familiar with cask strength whiskeys, this enormous taste profile reaches depths of flavor found only in the rarest of spirits. On the nose we get notes of dark chocolate, caramel and butter with earthy undertones of walnut and hazelnut. The palate delivers intrepid notes of warm vanilla, oak, toasted nuts and a rich spiciness with hints of butterscotch or honey. The high alcohol by volume is intense and powerful yet inviting. Taken from the center-cut or middle sections of the famous Warehouse H, Blantons Original Single Barrel Whiskey was once designated for ambassadors, dignitaries, and Colonel Blantons family and friends. Today, everyone has access to the worlds first single barrel bourbon. The taste profile is sweet, with notes of citrus and oak. The creamy vanilla nose is teased with caramel and butterscotch, all underscored by familiar baking spices such as clove, nutmeg, or cinnamon. Blantons Original Bourbon set the standard for single barrel bourbons in 1984. Best served neat or on the rocks to taste the incredible flavor profile of this American whiskey. Bottled at 46.5%. This bourbon scored three points higher than Pappy Van Winkle’s 23 Year Old Bourbon at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012.
